Prudent Sagacity LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Venture Sage mobile application (the "App" or "Service"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, retention, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service, as well as the privacy rights available to you.

The App is intended for use by adults who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information Collection

We collect several different types of information to provide and improve our Service to you. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Personal Data" and "personal information" have the same meaning and are used interchangeably. We collect this information directly from you, automatically from your use of the Service, and from our integrated service providers as necessary to operate the App.

  • Personal Data:While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). This includes, but is not limited to, your email address, which is required for account authentication.
  • Usage Data:We may collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This Usage Data may include information such as your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g., IP address), device type, operating system version, the features of our Service that you interact with, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers, and other diagnostic data.
  • AI Interaction Data:When you utilize the "Consult the Sage" feature, your project inputs, questions, and descriptions are processed by third-party Large Language Models (LLMs). This data is used solely to generate your project estimates and advice. We contractually require our third-party AI providers not to use your AI Interaction Data to train their general or foundational AI models.
  • Photo Data:When you use the "Sage Vision" feature, photos you take or upload are temporarily transmitted to an AI service for analysis to assist with project estimation. We do not permanently store your photos on our servers; they are processed ephemerally and discarded after the analysis is complete.
  • Subscription and Payment Data: If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by the applicable app store platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We do not collect or store your full credit card details or billing address. We only receive a tokenized confirmation of your subscription status to grant access to premium features.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following primary purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • To authenticate your account and manage your user profile.
  • To generate and deliver AI-powered project estimates, material lists, and advice.
  • To process subscriptions and manage access to premium features.
  • To monitor usage, maintain security, and prevent fraud.
  • To analyze diagnostic data to improve the functionality and performance of the App.

No Automated Decision-Making: We do not use your personal data to make fully automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data based on the following legal grounds, directly tied to our uses of your information:

  • Performance of a Contract: Processing is necessary to provide you with the Service, including account creation, authentication, subscription management, and the delivery of AI-generated estimates.
  • Legitimate Interests: We process Usage Data and diagnostic information to improve the functionality, security, and performance of the App, where such interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Compliance with Legal Obligations: We may process or retain certain data as required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal proceedings.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your Personal Data. We may disclose your data to third-party companies and individuals ("Service Providers") solely as needed to operate the App, process subscriptions, authenticate accounts, and generate AI outputs. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

  • Supabase: We use Supabase for secure database management and user authentication.
  • AI Providers: We utilize third-party AI APIs (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) to provide the intelligent estimation logic within the Sage consultation features.
  • RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat for managing in-app subscriptions, validating purchases, and synchronizing entitlement status across your devices.

Cross-Border Processing: Our Service Providers may process or host your data on servers located outside of your home jurisdiction, including in the United States. By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions outside your place of residence, including the United States.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy:

  • Account Data: Retained for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, this data is permanently purged from our active databases.
  • Usage and Diagnostic Data: Generally retained for a shorter period (e.g., up to 12 months) for security monitoring and performance improvement, after which it is anonymized or deleted.
  • Legal and Dispute Records: We may retain specific records (including deleted account logs or transaction receipts) for a longer period if required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your Personal Data. We provide the following rights to all users, regardless of location:

  • Right to Access: You have the right to request access to the Personal Data we hold about you.
  • Right to Update/Correct: You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
  • Right to Delete (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to request the deletion of your Personal Data.

You can access, update, or delete your information at any time directly within the App settings.

Account Deletion. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the App. Open the App, navigate to the Profile tab, and tap "Wipe Data & Close Account". This action is immediate, permanent, and cannot be undone.

Submitting Requests. If you need additional assistance, you may contact us at support@prudentsagacity.com. To protect your privacy, we may require you to verify your identity (e.g., by emailing us from the address associated with your account) before processing your request. Please note that we may decline requests where legally permitted, such as when retaining the data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

  • Right to Know and Access: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you over the preceding 12 months, the categories of sources from which it was collected, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (such as when the information is necessary to provide our Service or comply with legal obligations).
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Any disclosure of personal information is limited to service providers for business purposes as described in this Privacy Policy. Therefore, we do not offer an opt-out mechanism for the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information:To the extent we collect information that may be considered "sensitive personal information" under applicable law (such as account credentials), we use it solely to provide the Service and do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality of goods or services.

Exercising Your California Rights: To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@prudentsagacity.com. We will process requests only from verifiable consumers or authorized agents. We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 days and endeavor to respond within 45 days of receipt. We may require you to verify your identity before processing your request.

8. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states, including but not limited to Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah, may have additional privacy rights under applicable state laws. These rights may include the ability to access, correct, or delete personal data, as well as to opt out of certain types of data processing, such as targeted advertising or profiling.

9. Data Security

The security of your data is important to us. We use commercially reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Your account is secured through Supabase authentication. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.

However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for use by adults who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a person under 18 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers promptly.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
